Scoring System & Tie-Breaks
● Point system will be in force as the first scoring criteria:
○ 1 for a win. ○ ½ for a draw. ○ 0 for a loss.
● The tie-break criteria will be (by order):
○ Direct Encounter.
○ Buchholz-cut1.
○ Buchholz-cut2.
○ Highest Number of Wins with black (played).
○ Rating Performance.
● Winners are obliged to attend the Closing
Ceremony in order to receive awards & prizes
Entry Fees & Participation
● The participation is open to everybody.
● All Participants must be over four (4) years- old and under twenty (20) years-old.
● No FIDE-ID is required.
● Registrations will be accepted only via the following website only
● The deadline for Registration will be on December 15th (20:00).
● There will be no Entry Fees.
● All Participants are obliged to re-confirm their participation on 16.12.2023, from 15:30 to 16:45, in the Confirmation Desk. Otherwise, they will be excluded from the 1st Round.
● Limitation of Participation will be on 500 entries. Late entries after round 1 & 2 are allowed, if the limitation permits it.
● Registered Participants who will withdraw without valid reason(s) at any stage (even before the 1st Round), will not be allowed to participate in future events of SCCC & SICA.
● All Participants must comply with the Safety & Sports Regulations of UAE (Green Pass might be required).
