Participation & Registration

Tournament is open to all FIDE-rated playersin the following categories
– Masters : For players rated 2500 (FIDEStandard)and above.
– Challengers : For players rated 1900-2499 (FIDEStandard).
– Futures : For players rated 1400-1899 (FIDEStandard).
– Registration is only accepted online via the following link : https://masters.sharjahchess.ae
– Last day of registration & payment is 25th April 2024
– Out of all players the 80% will be selected by 25th April 2024 (after relative online Application) and the rest 20% will (might) be given Wild Card participation permission.
– The highest rated player per federation will be invited to participate (priority), after relative Application. Priority will be given to higher (over-the-board) titles and ratings (standard). Exceptions can be given to the Wild Cards.
– For each federation a maximum of twenty (20) players will be allowed to participate. An exception will (might) be given to (proven) resident players of the United Arab Emirates.
